Marketing Mistake #2 – Marketing without your baseline numbers

Did you know that there are 8 numbers in your business, that if you watch them closely each day, your business can make more money? Now most businesses try to grow without these numbers. That's like hoping to throw a bullseye on a dartboard with a blindfold on.

These 8 numbers are the only way you can possibly grow your business. In fact, trying to market without them can be counterproductive. You will see why in a minute. I won't keep you in suspence. Just ask yourself these 8 easy questions to get them:

1.  How many prospects am I generating each week
2.  What are the quality of those prospects
3.  What is my conversion ratio from my marketing to get a call
4.  What is my closing rate on the phone to get an appointment
5.  What is my face to face conversion ratio
6.  What is my average initial sale made per client
7.  How long does each client stay with me
8.  How frequently does each client come back to me

You see there are only eight main ways to grow a business. Get more and higher quality prospects, increase conversion ratio across the board and increase the value of each client (frequency, purchase amount and longevity). Knowing the eight baseline numbers above will allow your business to grow in multiple ways instead of the traditional way (buy more advertising).

The point I want to make is this - Sometimes you don't have to get more clients to boost your bottom line...
